Amalie bonnet

The Amalie bonnet is knitted in an elastic structural pattern, which allows the bonnet to form after your child’s head and grow with your child. First the back head is knitted back and forth and from the bottom up. You then pick up sts along the sides of your work, and you begin on the rest of the bonnet - which is knitted towards the face. In the end you knit an i-cord which is knitted together with the bottom edge of the bonnet.

Sizes: 0-3 mos (3-6 mos) 6-12 mos (1-2 yrs) 2-3 yrs
Head circumference: 38-40 cm (42-44 cm) 46-48 cm (50 cm) 52 cm
Needle size: Circular needle and DPNs US 3 (UK 11)
Gauge: 35 m per 10 cm in the structural pattern on needle size US 3 (UK 11)
Yarn quantity: 50 g all sizes
Recommended yarn: Sandnes Garn Sunday or other super fine yarn quantity with the same gauge
